Welcome to our Course Choice Information for pupils and parents of pupils in S2, S3, S4 and S5.   

We hope that our Course Choice Event will give you a flavour of subjects on offer, explain the course choice process this year and also provide you with information to support your child in making coursing decisions.

Pupils will receive information through personal and social education, their subject teachers and assemblies to assist them in making the best decisions moving forward.   

All pupils should read over the course choice sways for information on course content and outlines. This should help pupils decide on the courses which best suit their interests and aspirations.   

Pupils will all have a 1 to 1 meeting with a member of the coursing team to ensure they are making the best choice for their future options.

Course Choice Guides 

The following course choice guides will support you in assisting your child to make the best choices moving forward. The online course choice booklets detail course outlines, skills developed in the course and any subject specific information which may be relevant. 

S2 into S3 Pathways Information

This sway provides information specifically for current pupils in S2 moving into S3 and the range of options on offer.  

Senior Phase Course Choice Booklet

This sway provides information specifically for current pupils in S3, S4 and S5 and looks at the range of courses in the Senior Phase including National 4, National 5 and Higher subjects.  

So what's new? 

This sway provides information specifically for current pupils in S3, S4 and S5 and looks at the range of new options which pupils can choose which they have not previously studied. Moving into S4 and S5/6 there are a range of options including Lab Science and Health Sector which pupils may wish to consider. This sway will provide course outlines and assessment information.  

S6 Pathways Options

This sway provides information specifically for current S5 pupils and looks at the range of S6 ONLY options including Advanced Highers.
